After so many confusions and controversies, the admission for the academic year has started. The online form filling has already been going on and government has made some clarifications about recent changes made in admission process. Some of them are:
- There will not be any NRI seats filled by management quota. All seats will remain under management quota only in self-finance collages.
- For medical (MBBS) and dental (BDS) , there will be 85% seats in govt and 75% in self-finance collages under Gujarat quota and will be filled by combined Gujarat board and NEET marks (60:40).
- Rest 15% of government collages are all india quota and 25% in self finance collages are management quota which will be filled by NEET.
- For paramedical courses other than MBBS and BDS, there will be 100% in government and 75% in self finance collages will be filled by combined marks of gujarat board and GUJCET (60:40)
- Rest 25% of management quota will also be filled by combined merit by individual institute as per government guidelines on merit basis.
- For admisssion in Ayurved ( BAMS), Sanskrit subject is not necessary from current academic year.
Date of merit list to be published (Provisional): 25/07/16
Admission process will start on : 29/07/16.
